I appreciate the work that went into it, and the outside looks sweet, but the inside is kind of meh to me.

Oh that is v e r y interesting. For a l o n g t i m e if you wanted a “shortened” 911 engine you went do Dean Polopolus. Dean developed the “Polo” 930/4 engine over the years and Emory Motorsports would fit i t to their customers’s cars.

But this “new” shortened 911 4-cyl engine seems to have been developed independently from Polopolus.

I w o n d e r i f the l o n g s t a n d i n g f r i e n d s h ip between Polopolus and Emory has gone sour.
